Passaic County Hike for Healing
Join NJ4S at Passaic County’s 2nd Annual Hike for Healing! This meaningful day is designed to bring our community together in support of suicide prevention and mental wellness. The event features an easy-to-moderate, one-mile hike through the scenic Highlands Preserve, as well as a day filled with music, resources, and engaging activities for all ages.
Whether you walk in honor of a loved one, to support a friend, or to take steps toward healing yourself, you are welcome here.

Register for a chance to join NJ4S at the 8/28 NJ Jackals game at Hinchliffe Stadium! Winners will receive free tickets and food vouchers. All registrants will be contacted by August 26, 2025.
Back-to-School Start Smart Workshop for Teens
Looking to kickstart your brain out of the Summer Slump to and into Scholastic Success? Join NJ4S Passaic County at the Paterson Free Public Library for an interactive workshop all about setting yourself up to achieve great things this school year!
End of Summer Camp with NJ4S
Don't let summer slide into the new school year unprepared! Join us for the NJ4S End of Summer Camp, a completely free program designed to help 4th-8th grade students sharpen their skills and get a head start.
From August 25th to 29th, your child will engage in exciting activities that build essential skills for academic success. Plus, students who attend all five days will receive a $50-$100 gift card to help with school supplies! The week wraps up with a fun field trip on the last day (location to be announced soon!).
Spaces are limited, so make sure to register by July 16th! Give your child the gift of a confident start to the new school year!
Movie Night at Weasel Brook Park
Enjoy A Minecraft Movie under the stars with the whole family at Passaic County Parks & Recreation’s Outdoor Movie Night, featuring special guest NJ4S Passaic County!
The movie will begin shortly after the sun sets, at approximately 8:45 PM.

Juneteenth
In honor of Juneteenth, NJCDC and NJ4S offices will be closed.
“Even though the Emancipation Proclamation was made effective in 1863, it could not be implemented in places still under Confederate control. As a result, in the westernmost Confederate state of Texas, enslaved people would not be free until much later. Freedom finally came on June 19, 1865, when some 2,000 Union troops arrived in Galveston Bay, Texas. The army announced that the more than 250,000 enslaved black people in the state, were free by executive decree. This day came to be known as Juneteenth, a time to celebrate, gather as a family, reflect on the past and look to the future.” - The National Museum of African American History and Culture
