Champions of Youth Welfare to Walk a Mile in Passaic County

Our walkathon at Goffle Brook Park in Hawthorne, led by our Project H.O.P.E. team, brought together community members to raise awareness and support for youth experiencing homelessness in Passaic County.

NJ4S Passaic Hosts Events to Honor Mental Health Awareness Month

During Mental Health Awareness Month in May, our hub hosted its inaugural Project H.O.P.E. walk to raise awareness for youth homelessness, followed by our 2nd annual Provider Wellness Summit to support the mental health of those caring for Passaic County’s youth.

NJCDC and NJ4S Passaic Receive $150K Grant from The Cigna Group Foundation to Address Youth Mental Health Crisis

The primary objectives of this program include delivering evidence-based services through classroom workshops tailored for elementary schools across Passaic County.

July 2024

Free camp offered to 6th-, 9th-graders by NJ4S Passaic

The two-week “Summer Rising” program is designed to help Passaic County youth successfully navigate the social and emotional challenges of attending a new school using an evidenced-based curriculum called “Positive Action.”

NJ4S Passaic County Holds Summit and Celebrates First Anniversary

Our hub marked its first anniversary with a “Empowering Passaic County” Prevention Summit at William Paterson University featuring keynote speeches, breakout sessions, and the launch of Parent University.

NJCDC Chosen as Passaic County Hub for NJ4S

NJCDC was selected by the NJ Department of Children & Families to serve as the Passaic County Hub for the innovative NJ Statewide Student Support Services (NJ4S) program, a direct response to the pressing youth mental health crisis affecting young people nationwide.
